Matthew Stinson is an extraordinary educator whose impact spans far beyond the classroom. A member of Matoaca’s class of 1999, he demonstrates unparalleled dedication, serving as a science, P.E. and driver’s ed teacher and coach. His deep commitment is summarized by his philosophy — “If you try, I can help you succeed” — and is evident in his high instructional standards and compassionate coaching, which includes organizing a team-building fishing day for his players. He truly embodies service and excellence. Last year, he even saved a student’s life by flawlessly performing the Heimlich maneuver, earning him the deep respect of the entire Matoaca High community.
